The gold leader and the party candidate for the presidential, George Simion, participated with Călin Georgescu, on Saturday night, at the Resurrection service. The information was confirmed for HotNews.ro by George Simion.
Realitatea Plus television announced on Saturday that Georgescu and Simion were going to participate in the Easter service, in a “Monastery in Ardeal”, without any other details.
Tiktok is distributed a video in which George Simion can be seen, surrounded by several people on the night of Resurrection, but Călin Georgescu's face is not exactly seen.
Contacted on Sunday by HotNews.ro, George Simion confirmed that he participated with Călin Georgescu in the Easter service, at a monastery in Ardeal, without specifying the exact location.
This is the first public exit of the two after the beginning of the election campaign, on April 4. After the candidacy of Călin Georgescu was definitively rejected by the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR), George Simion and Lidera Pot, Anamaria Gavrilă, submitted their candidates for the presidential elections, after a meeting with Georgescu. Finally, Anamaria Gavrilă withdrew her candidacy, so that George Simion will remain on the ballot.

In a press conference organized in the Parliament on April 11, Hotnews.ro asked George Simion if he has the support of Călin Georgescu, given that from the moment he was rejected so far, Călin Georgescu has not publicly sent any message of support. Simion cataloged the question as rhetorical.
“We have a well -developed plan. We know what we have to do next. There is no one in the sovereign movement started by Călin Georgescu to doubt this,” the candidate replied to the presidential elections.
