Oil workers built modern houses for the indigenous residents of Taimyr

Thanks to the support of the “RN-Vovorcor” (part of the Rosneft oil and gas production block) for residents of the village of Karaul Taimyr Dolgan-Nenets municipal district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, modern two-apartment residential buildings were built.

They used advanced thermal insulation materials that allow you to maintain heat even at extremely low temperatures. The system of organizing houses construction allows you to create comfortable housing, taking into account the individual needs of each resettled family. In this case, the quality control of construction is ensured.

In the village of Karaul, one of the oldest settlements of Taimyr, Nenets, Dolgans, Nganasans and Entsi live. They are engaged in reindeer husbandry, fishing and hunting, preserving the centuries -old traditions of their ancestors. For indigenous residents in houses, special premises for storing fishing and hunting supplies are provided.

Earlier, with the support of the RN-VAVKOR, as part of the co-financing of the regional program to resettle residents from dilapidated and emergency housing, 52 families have already drove into new apartments and houses.

The preservation of the national culture of the indigenous peoples of the North and their traditional way of life is one of the key areas of the social policy of Rosneft. The company's enterprises implement many projects in the regions of their activities, develop the infrastructure of the northern villages, improve the material and technical base of municipal institutions and social facilities in the areas of the original residence of the indigenous peoples.
