“We expect to find it.” Chief prosecutor from the Netherlands, optimistic about the recovery of the helmet from Coțofenești, stolen in January

It is expected that a part or all the Romanian treasures stolen from the Drents Museum in Assen will be recovered, according to Dorderik Greive, chief officer of the Northern Netherlands, according to RTV Dethe, taken over by News.ro.

“We expect to find him,” he said hard on the helmet in Coţofeneşti, stolen from the museum in January. “There is still enough information with which we can work. People (suspects, no) are still under arrest. We are still working hard on it,” he said in the “Cassata” show from Radio Drenthe.

A special search team of dozens of people is ready to recover the pieces. In addition to the helmet, three gold bracelets were stolen from the museum. Heavy: “We have the situation under control. We really expect to find out where the helmet is.”

Less than a week after the robbery, three suspects were arrested in Heerhugowaard. A fourth arrest was made later. Three suspects are still under arrest. The investigative services distributed the names and photos of two suspects.

Previously, former politician Alexander Pechtold, a member of the Supervisory Board of the Museum Museum, has expressed the hope that the bracelets and helmet in Coţofeneşti will be recovered. Pechtold said this in the Goedemorgen Nederland television show. “We are still receiving clues,” he said.

The golden helmet from Coţofeneşti and three Dacian gold bracelets from Sarmizegetusa Regia were stolen on the night of January 24 to 25 from the Drents Museum, Assen, the Netherlands. Two men and a woman from Heerhugowaard were arrested a few days after the later robbery, the police detained a fourth suspect, also in Heerhugowaard. The woman (40 years old) was released last week, but remains suspicious of involvement in this case. The three men (26, 34 and 36 years old) are still under arrest and must be presented in court on May 9, for the first public hearing.

The lawyers of two of the suspects told Telegraf that they were arrested because of found clothes thrown in a trash bin. The DNA on the clothes matched the DNA of the suspects in the national database, in which they are registered due to a previous conviction.
