Fraudsters deceived a mother and daughter from Norilsk out of 21.7 million rubles

In Norilsk, a 73-year-old pensioner and her 48-year-old daughter, a senior teacher at ZSU named after V.I., became victims of telephone scammers. Fedorovsky. The scammers defrauded women out of a total of 21.7 million rubles. This was reported to the regional prosecutor's office.
At the end of last year, a retired teacher, a former teacher, was in Penza when she received a message on Telegram allegedly from representatives of her former school about the “digitization of experience.” After clicking on the link, she was informed that her State Services account had been hacked. Then a man contacted her through the MAX messenger and introduced himself as an employee of Rosfinmonitoring. He convinced the woman to transfer her savings to a “safe account.”
Under the control of the swindler, the pensioner made dozens of transfers of 200–500 thousand rubles each, for a total amount of 14 million rubles.
What was happening raised questions from the elderly woman’s daughter, but her mother convinced her that she was communicating with real specialists. Soon the scammers contacted her, through the MAX and Telegram to the senior teacher of ZSU named after. Fedorovsky was sent a fake power of attorney. The scammers introduced themselves as employees of the Central Bank, Rosfinmonitoring and the FSB and convinced the woman to send them money. As a result, the Norilsk woman lost 7.7 million rubles.
When the correspondence in instant messengers disappeared, the women realized that they had become victims of deception – the accounts on the State Services were in order, but the financial situation of the Norilsk women left much to be desired.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened for fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
