What the mayors say
The mayor of Sector 6, Ciprian Ciucu, said on Friday evening that the authorities were working to release trees shot down by the wind, specifying that their number is very high, registering a record for the last decade.
“The colleagues at ADPDU told me that, at least in the last 10 years, there have not been so many fallen trees. There are 4 major causes that contributed: the trees have a lot of leaf and are heavy; the earth is very soft from so much water, and the roots are no longer fixed; We give it, it is simply working on automatic fire, ”Ciucu wrote on Friday night.
And the mayor of Sector 2, Rareș Hopincă, announced on Friday “significant damages” after the storm: 33 collapsed trees, broken branches and a roof detached from a block.
“An additional proof of the fact that the public space must be maintained with much discernment and reason, because the dry or non -tolerated trees can produce tragedies,” Hopincă wrote on his Facebook page.
Over 100 wind trees, announced the mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, according to the Bucharest Bulletin. The mayor mentioned that the trees destroyed 49 cars.
“The owners of the vehicles damaged by the fallen trees due to the strong wind will be compensated as soon as possible, as sector 4 has, for such emergency situations, a working procedure approved by HCL 4 no. 99/2025,” Băluță said.
The procedure is available here.
