George Simion: We have this stigma that we have to finance the Republic of Moldova. Until we remove the Romanian citizens from poverty, I would no longer support other nations

The golden candidate for the presidential election, the leader of the George Simion formation, said on Monday that Romania should no longer provide financial aid to the Republic of Moldova, nor to Ukrainian citizens who take refuge in our country. “Until we remove at least acceptable to the poverty the Romanian citizens, I would not support other nations in Romania,” he said.
The gold leader told Europa FM that Romania has “this stigma” that it has to finance the Republic of Moldova, reports News.ro.
“On our land, in our cities, in Tighina, in Soroca, the Soviets came and took us land and brothers (…) It went to the period of independence when Ion Iliescu was cowardly and did not take the step that was natural to take after the flower bridges, when we had to unite, we have lost a historical chance. Asked how the financing of the Republic of Moldova is stigma, George Simion said: “I regard that, in fact, we sponsor separately and anti-Romanian attitudes. Asked if he would cut the aid for citizens who come from Ukraine for fear of war, the golden candidate for the presidential elections said: “Until we get at least acceptable from poverty, Romanian citizens would not support other nations in Romania.”
