US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that any country that imports drugs into the United States risks being attacked, reports Reuters.
“Anyone who does this and sells drugs in our country is liable to be attacked,” Trump told reporters during a White House cabinet meeting after raising the issue of cocaine being trafficked from Colombia.
Neither Colombia's foreign ministry nor President Gustavo Petro's office immediately responded to Reuters requests for comment after the US leader's remarks.
