With the onset of autumn, geranium experiences a deficiency of nutrients and suffers from insufficient light. If the lighting problem is quite simple to solve, then difficulties may arise with the replenishment of nutrients, writes the portal “Poliv-Moscow” (16+).
Special fertilizers are most often used to feed geraniums. However, sometimes they turn out to be harmful due to unclear composition and excessive concentration.
If your goal is to maintain the condition of geraniums in the fall and achieve abundant flowering, you should use the recommendations of experienced gardeners. An excellent choice for feeding pelargonium is ordinary glycerin.
Glycerin is a wonderful growth and flowering stimulant that maintains moisture in leaves and flowers, making them more elastic. In addition, this substance enhances the effectiveness of other fertilizers, but it can also be used independently.
Usually a solution is prepared from 1-2 tbsp. spoons of glycerin per liter of water. Stir thoroughly until completely dissolved.
It is important to remember that the water must be at room temperature, otherwise the plant will receive noticeable stress. Water the geranium with the resulting solution; there is no need to pre-moisten the soil.
It is enough to fertilize twice a month, and the result will become noticeable in the coming weeks. You may not have seen such lush flowering of geraniums even in the summer season.
