The cold wave of April was felt throughout the country, because at only five of the nearly 170 ANM stations the minimum temperature on Tuesday morning was positive.

On Wednesday, the minimum temperatures will be between -6 C and +4 C, the ANM forecast shows; While Friday will be higher temperatures in the morning: between -2 and 8 degrees. At noon, the maximums will reach at most 13 degrees in the following days, but in most areas will be between 7 and 10 degrees Celsius.

April mornings are rare in which only 3% of the weather stations are positive temperatures. Eastern and Southeast Europe has been under the influence of air masses in the north, in the last days.

On Sunday, but also Monday, it snowed in Bucharest and other places from the plains, and the weather suddenly cooled from Saturday to Sunday, in some places in Muntenia, decreasing by 20 degrees C in no 24 hours.

On Tuesday morning there were negative temperatures all over the country, except for five weather stations on the NEM network: Constanța Dig, Mangalia, Gura Portiței, Slobozia and Sulina. Of these, the highest temperature was at Gura Portiței, +1.1 C.

The coldest was in Omu, -18.6 C, after Monday morning had been -18 C in the Iezer Mountains and -13.4 C in Joseni, ANM data shows.

Tuesday were -15.6 C in the Tarcu Mountains and -14.6 C at Bâlea Lac. Extremely low temperatures compared to normal were at Vărădia de Mureș (-8.2 C) and Deva (-7.3 C). In Bucharest there were -1.2 C at the Baneasa weather station.
