- Do not leave appliances plugged in (with the exception of the refrigerator – and monitor its serviceability doubly carefully).
- Connect only certified devices that have been tested and have warranties to the network. Homemade electrical appliances do not have protection against overheating or electric shock.
- Monitor the condition of the devices. For example, if the lamp starts to “blink”, the problem may lie in the wiring.
“When leaving home, turn off power to electrical appliances, with the exception of the refrigerator and freezer. Remember that televisions, computers, other digital and household appliances must be under supervision, and you should pay more attention to heating devices, such as electric kettles, boilers, and electric stoves,” the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds.
