Road controls with radars, all over the country, starting today: Police places on roads

This week the action of Speed, intended to verify the compliance with the legal speed regime and prevent road events caused by the excessive speed, according to the program of European operations 2025 of the Road Police Organization (Roadpol).

Also, on April 9, between 00:00 and 24:00, the Speed Marathon operation will be carried out to combat the violation of the legal rules regarding the speed of travel.
The road police will act priority to detect those who exceed the legal speed, using all the surveillance of road traffic and measuring the speed of moving the vehicles from the Romanian Police.
Between January 1 and March 31, there were 129 road accidents caused by excessive speed, which represents 19.3 % of total serious accidents, IGPR reports.
In Romania, the maximum speed allowed in localities is 50 or 70 km/h, with the agreement of the public road administrator, respectively 90/100 km/h outside the localities, 120 km/h on the express roads and 130 km/h on highways.
“We recommend the drivers to comply with the legal speed regime applicable to the road section on which they travel, to permanently adapt the speed to the weather conditions, to travel with caution and to respect the signals of the road police.”, IGPR reports.
The police specify that the E-Sure system is operational throughout the country. The radars are located in the areas with road risk, the records being subsequently analyzed. The Trucam II radars are located outside the road, mounted on the tripod, in a visible place.
The deviations are sanctioned according to the law, after identifying the driver. The minutes are communicated at its home, without the need to stop in traffic.
Until the middle of March, over 800 fines were applied from the implementation of the E-Sure system, for violating the road code and a lot of car permits were suspended, according to the information obtained by “Adevărul”.
