The value of banknotes and coins in circulation increased at the end of the first quarter of this year by PLN 3.3 billion – according to the data of the National Bank of Poland. At that time, the “life” of the banknote in Poland increased by 10 days.


According to the NBP, the value of coins and banknotes in circulation increased at the end of March this year to just over PLN 416 billion 364 million from PLN 413 billion PLN 60 million at the end of December last year Is 380 billion PLN 716 million a year earlier.
The National Bank of Poland announced that at the end of the first quarter of this year. The banknote in Poland spent an average of 685 days in circulation, which is 10 days longer than after the fourth quarter of 2024. At the end of the first quarter of 2024, the “life” of the banknote was 624 days.

The number of banknotes remaining in circulation at the end of March this year. It increased compared to the last quarter of last year by 2.3 million, to 3 billion 178.1 million pieces from 3 billion 175.8 million.
