More than 200 people came to the first meeting of the mayor of Krasnoyarsk with residents of the districts

The head of Krasnoyarsk, Sergei Vereshchagin, began a series of open meetings with residents of the districts – the first took place on February 25 in Oktyabrsky. More than 200 people came to discuss pressing problems with the mayor, the administration said.

The dialogue lasted almost three hours, people voiced about 50 questions, and another 19 were submitted in writing. Most of the appeals concerned the provision of housing and communal resources, the work of management companies, traffic management, the condition of roads and infrastructure.

Thus, residents of Kamchatskaya, Krupskaya, Kovalevskaya, Leningradskaya, Yushkova and Popova streets complained about problems with the removal of solid waste, maintenance of houses and adjacent areas. Appeals regarding shortcomings in transport accessibility came from residents of the Plodovo-Yagodny and Lesnoy Massif complexes, as well as new high-rise buildings on Svobodny Avenue. And the initiative group of the house in “Gremyachiy Log” raised the topic of preserving nearby green spaces.

In addition, the mayor was asked to resolve issues with connecting to networks in private development areas on Bugach and Minusinskaya Street. Separately, residents of Akademgorodok received an appeal regarding the need for regular maintenance of the public space with an observation deck and the organization of traffic around the new kindergarten.

“On some issues from residents, it feels like it’s really painful. Among them are poor quality work of the management company and garbage. Problems became acute when residents became hostages of illiterate urban planning decisions and lack of basic provision of resources,” commented Sergei Vereshchagin. “The first experience confirmed that such meetings are needed. This includes immersion in the life of the district and the formation of a work plan for the administration. It is clear that not all problems, some of which have accumulated over the years, will be resolved in a short time. I hope that the residents understand this. But my colleagues and I will do everything to improve the situation. The meetings should continue with close interaction between all responsible services and citizens on the issues raised. It is no coincidence that the heads of several departments, deputies and, of course, the head of the district were with me.”

The next face-to-face meeting of the head of Krasnoyarsk will take place in the Leninsky district. Residents will be informed additionally about the date, place and time.
