US President Donald Trump published on the Social network X on Friday a video recording showing a fatal American air attack in Yemen on dozens of Houthi fighters, AFP reports.

The images, in black and white and seem to be filmed by a military drone, show several dozens of people gathered in a circle, first in the fire line, then bombarded.

There is a thick smoke, then images of the bombarded place, where only a few cars remain.

“These houthi have regrouped to receive instructions on an attack,” wrote Donald Trump, in the description that accompanies the video images.

“Oops, there will be no attacks from these Houthi. They will never sink our ships,” he added.

On Tuesday, the spokesman of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, greeted the “200 successful blows” against Houthi, in the context in which the tensions between the United States and the Yemeni rebels increased.

Earlier this week, Washington also announced that it will send a second aircraft carrier to the Middle East.

Since the beginning of the war in Gaza, in October 2023, Houthi attacked commercial ships in the Red Sea, disrupting access to the Suez Canal, which transports 12% of world maritime traffic.

Houthi say that the attacks were in solidarity with the Palestinians because of the War of Israel with Hamas in Gaza.
