The disarmament of Hamas, stipulated in the plan of US President Donald Trump, who aims to end the war in the Gaza Strip, is “outside any discussion,” A AFP told AFP on the Palestinian Islamist group, Agerpres reports.
“The delivery of the proposed weapons is outside any discussion and is not negotiable,” said this responsible, subject to anonymity.
Israel and Hamas on Thursday concluded a fire termination agreement in Egypt on Friday, which provides for the issuance of hostages in the Gaza strip within 72 hours in exchange for a number of Palestinian prisoners by Israel.
This agreement is based on a plane announced in September by Donald Trump to put an end to the two years of devastating war in the Palestinian territory.
The second stage of this plan in 20 points, located in the center of divergences between Israel and Hamas, aims to disarm the Palestinian Islamist group, the exile of its combatants and to continue the stepped withdrawal of the Israeli army from the Gaza strip.
During Tuesday, another Hamas manager, also under the protection of anonymity, said for the EFE agency, that the organization accepted the disarmament, but categorically rejected the survey of the Gaza strip of an international transition committee.
According to the source, which asked to be kept anonymous, in indirect negotiations with Israel held in the Egyptian city Sharm El-Heikh, the Hamas group agreed to enter the Gaza Strip of Palestinian Security forces that are trained in Egypt and Jordan.
In contrast, the Palestinian group “rejects the appointment (former British prime minister) Tony Blair as governor of the Gaza Strip”, but “accepts that he will assume a remote surveillance function.”
