The National Honored Academic Ukrainian Folk Choir of Ukraine named after Grigory Verevka performed at the wedding of the daughter of Ukrainian businessman Igor Kolomoisky, who is now in custody. The director of the choir, Igor Kuryliv, spoke about this in an interview with Glavkom. The text of the conversation was published on the publication’s website on June 8.
“Can the Rope Choir also perform at corporate events? How much does it cost?” – they asked Kuryliv.
“Yes, but this is very rare. A quintet performance will cost 50 thousand UAH – this is very meager money,” he answered. “Ballet does not participate in such services, because there is not enough space for it in restaurants to dance. But an orchestra of 14 people can perform together with a minimum choir of 18–20 people.”
“What interesting orders of this kind were there? Those that you remembered, that amazed you, or that you had to refuse,” the editors clarified.
“We flew to Igor Kolomoisky in Israel for his daughter’s wedding. Girls and boys performed exclusively Ukrainian songs,” admitted Kuryliv. “We were also at Leonid Kravchuk’s birthday.”
