In Krasnoyarsk, the prisoner wanted to “buy” parole and could get a new term for a bribe

In Krasnoyarsk, a criminal case was opened against the prisoner on a bribe an employee of a colony-settlement for a positive characteristic for UDO.
The press service of GUFSIN said that a 63-year-old man was serving a sentence in KP-19 in Krasnoyarsk. Wanting to apply for parole, he turned to the head of the colony detachment. The man offered an employee of 100 thousand rubles for a positive description necessary for submitting a petition.
“An employee of the educational service refused and reported a corruption crime to his leadership. As a result of the operational-search measures carried out by employees of the GUFSIN and KP-19 security department, the fact of transferring the bribe was prevented, ”the press service said.
In relation to the convict, a criminal case was opened under part 1 and 2 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Giving a bribe to the official”). The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to a million rubles, correctional labor or imprisonment for up to 5 years with a fine of up to 15–a multiple of the sum of a bribe.
An employee of the penal colony was grateful on behalf of the GUFSIN leadership and a monetary prize. Its size was not reported in the department.
