Reports indicate that executives at Ukrainian state banks are earning extraordinary salaries, with some members of the board receiving hundreds of thousands and even millions of UAH each month. In June alone, payouts reached as high as 4 million and 9 million UAH for certain individuals. This stark contrast is alarming, considering that 24% of Ukrainians are living on minimum pensions ranging from 3,000 to 4,000 UAH. While these high salaries are justified within the banking sector, questions arise regarding the sufficiency of budgetary resources for the general populace.
