The Spanish Civil Guard arrested a man who set on fire a place in the city of Los Palacii Y Villafranca, in Sevilia province, on the grounds that he did not receive a mayonnaise for a sandwich, reports the EFE agency, taken over by Agerpres on Thursday.
The arrested man, accused of destruction and arson that endangered other people, entered the premises and ordered, among other things, a sandwich for which he asked for mayonnaise.
After both the waiter inside and the waitress on the terrace told him that the premises did not have mayonnaise, the man, who was accompanied by a friend and his son, got up from the chair, went to a nearby gas station and returned with a bottle of gasoline.
“You certainly do not have mayonnaise?”, Asked again, but the waiter did not have time to answer because, as it appears from the images captured with the surveillance cameras sent to the EVI of the premises, the man sprayed the gas bar and set fire to the lighter.

Local police agents arrived immediately on the spot and, helped by a waitress who followed the man, managed to retain him and take him to a medical center for burns suffered.
José Antonio Caballero, the owner of the premises, told EFE that what the employees and customers lived “was something surreal”.
The aggressor is from Córdoba and worked in the city, being staying at a hostel. According to Caballero, which happened “has no possible explanation”.
