Dmitri Medvedev, the vice -president of the Russian Security Council, warned Donald Trump on Monday that his ultimatums for the conclusion of the Ukraine war will be interpreted as steps against the United States, Tass reports.

Medvedev's reaction comes after the US president has announced that he is setting up a new deadline for 10 or 12 days for Russia to end the war. Previously, early this month, Trump had set a deadline for 50 days.

In reply, former Russian president Dmitri Medvedev, known for his aggressive statements against the West, adopted a threatening tone against the US president.

“Trump plays the game of ultimatums with Russia: sometimes 50 days, sometimes 10 … However, he should not forget two things,” Medvedev wrote on the X network.

“First of all, Russia is neither Israel nor Iran,” Medvedev wrote.

“Secondly,” continued the vice -president of the Russian Security Council, “every new ultimatum (of Trump) is a threat and a step towards the war. And not between Russia and Ukraine, but with its own country.”

“I did not follow the path of the sleepy Joe (Biden)!”, Wrote Medvedev.
