Eight of the inspected grills had structural defects, such as an unstable base, threatening to fall, too thin sheet metal, which threatens it with burning and falling out of fuel. Other discovered disadvantages are protruding screws in the cover, threatening to burn or heat the whole structure too much. In one model, IH inspectors discovered the non -compliance of the structure with marking, in another – incorrect marking.

Three of the inspected models were Polish production, two came from other EU countries and nine from China.

The entities responsible for placing defective barbecue are threatened with administrative penalties up to 100,000. PLN – reminded UOKiK. In the case of a grill with irregularities, the office only enabled the importer to take repair actions under the supervision of the Trade Inspection.

IH also checked nine grill glove models and questioned one due to the lack of resistance to the spread of the flame – during laboratory tests, the fragments of glove samples were completely burned. (PAP)
