Before Trump's statement, Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the case. A spokesman for the Esmail Baghaei ministry said that Tehran was waiting for Washington's response regarding the proposal of indirect negotiations. Iran considers his proposal to be generous, responsible and respected – the spokesman added.
