The Center for Additional Education of Children (CDOD) Kodinsk acquired at the expense of the program of charity and sponsorship of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station JSC a set of equipment for teaching schoolchildren in virtual reality.
The set worth 2 million rubles includes ten jobs for schoolchildren and one for the teacher, three helmets of virtual reality with fasteners and other equipment. Training will be built on the basis of a software product that allows us to develop programming skills among schoolchildren and teachers, create interactive “worlds” and manage them. The license purchased by the Center includes a digital content library, ready VR lessons, technical support and program updates.
“In the 2025-2026 academic year, work on the early professionalization in the engineering and technical direction will continue in our center. Virtual reality becomes an integral part of the educational process. VR technologies create conditions in which students and teachers can train and make mistakes without traumatic or expensive consequences, model dangerous or inaccessible situations in reality. We thank the leadership of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station for the help that brought our center to a new level of development, ”said and said. O. Director of CDOD Elena Verkhoturova.

Using the class of virtual reality, teachers of the Center will expand the capabilities of educational programs and increase the number of schoolchildren passionate about modern technologies and accurate sciences. Schoolchildren, having basic IT competencies, will be able to create VR applications, form a portfolio of achievements, participate in olympiads, hackathons, and competitions in the field of digital technology. In 2024, for example, the All-Russian competition of projects “VR-stamp on the map of Russia” was held, whose participants created digital copies of their educational institutions, virtual excursions in their native places and museums of achievements of Russian science and technology.
Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station JSC annually provides support to the center in updating the material and technical base. At the funds of the CDOD station, it updates furniture, computers and curricula, acquires equipment and manuals for teaching children and adolescents of different ages – from preschoolers to graduates.
The leadership of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station pays special attention to the early career guidance of schoolchildren and training for energy, and first of all, the work of a specialized rushydro-class. According to his program, high school students receive additional knowledge in mathematics and physics, study the work of a single energy system, energy conservation methods and other disciplines. Every year, meetings of a specialized class students with the station employees and excursions at the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station are held. Most of the profile class graduates, which has been working in Kodinsk since 2011, have been entering higher and secondary educational institutions for technical specialties, many are already working in the industry and energy of Russia.
The program of charitable and sponsorship of the Boguchanskaya hydroelectric power station is annually formed on the basis of appeals of citizens, public organizations, municipal institutions and authorities of the city of Kodinsk and the Kezhemsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
