The number of fatalities increased to 58 as a result of the collapse of the roof of the Night Club in Santo Domingo – said Juan Manuel Mendez, director of the Crisis Operation Center.
The previous report of the emergency services talked about 44 killed, among which was Nels Cruz, a governor of the province of Monte Cristi in the north of the country. The earlier message informed about 145 wounded people who were transported to hospitals. One of the victims of the disaster is the Merengue style singer, Rubby Perez, known on the local market. The man was hospitalized.
