USR spokesman Cristian Seidler had a first reaction on Friday for Hotnews, regarding the involvement of companies owned by Dragoș Anastasiu in a corruption file that targeted an ANAF official. The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged the bribery of the Fiscal employee in front of the DNA prosecutors and the judges, according to the data in the file.
Between 2009-2017, the companies of Deputy Prime Minister Dragoș Anastasiu bribed an ANAF inspector in order not to have problems with controls, according to a DNA investigation, completed two years ago with a definitive conviction of the officer who took a bribe. USR spokesman Cristian Seidler says that Dragoș Anastasiu must explain the “details” of this process publicly.
“First of all, from the information that appeared, citing the decision of the Court of Appeal, Mr. Dragoș Anastasiu was never in any other procedural quality than the witness, that is, neither in the criminal investigation stage, nor in the judgment stage. He is up to him to explain it publicly, “said USR representative for Hotnews.
Asked if Dragoș Anastasiu is compatible with the position of deputy prime minister, given that he acknowledged that he offered bribes for eight years, Cristian Seidler replied: “It is the same situation to any denouncer, of any crime, for which the law offers this benefit of positioning in a strict quality of witness if the denunciation is made. Calculation of prosecutor or judge ”.
Cristian Seidler also explained that the USR has no “meant” to ask for Anastasiu's change as Deputy Prime Minister.
