MedLife continues to support vulnerable communities: over 300 inhabitants of the villages in Brasov and Alba have benefited from free medical analyzes and consultations in just 6 days, through the Caravana with health.

For many inhabitants of the rural area, the visit to the doctor is a considerable logistical and financial effort, which is why medical prevention often remains a delayed priority. In just 6 days in June, over 300 people from Rupea and Prejmer (Brașov county) and Jidvei (Alba County) benefited for free consultations and medical analyzes, through the National Caravan project, carried out by Medlife. The initiative is now part of a larger educational and support in local communities, along with BCR and Vodafone partners.

The new stage of the caravan with health started in the first week of June in the village of Jidvei, Alba County, where, for 2 days, over 100 inhabitants performed free medical analyzes and were consulted by the multidisciplinary medical team.
The next stop was in Rupea, Brașov county, between June 13 and 15, where about 90 people had free access to analyzes and consultations. And between June 27 and 29, also in Brașov county, the health caravan arrived in Prejmer, where 100 people benefited from the free medical services.
This action is part of the MedLife strategy to invest in prevention and accessibility of medical services, in accordance with the company's mission to constantly improve the health of the population in Romania. Within the caravan, MedLife offers a free medical check-up, consisting of general medicine consultations, regular laboratory analysis and EKG investigations.
Through this initiative, MedLife aims to reduce inequalities in access to medical services and to promote prevention, offering concrete and accessible solutions for as many Romanians.
“For many people in rural areas, direct access to medical services focused on prevention remains, unfortunately, a challenge. Through the caravan project with health, we set out to bring real support, offering free medical services in the communities that have the most need. ”, said Ina Bădărău – Ilie, communication director, MedLife group.
So far, the mobile unit has traveled more than 6,000 kilometers and has reached over 4,000 people from vulnerable communities in the rural area, chronic patients, people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as refugees from Ukraine.

In the next period, the caravan with health will arrive in Constanța County:
