From the beginning, GHF was criticized by the UN world food program and other more known assistance organizations in MayE for allowing Israeli authorities to omit these distribution channels. The UN assessed that the method of distribution of help – by establishing several points, where crowds of people accumulate in the presence of armed bodyguards – He is chaotic and exposes Palestinians to danger. There have already been shootings several times, in which people nearby or on the way to distribution points. The last such case took place on Tuesday, when at least 44 people were to die as a result of the Israeli shelling. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Health, more than 500 people were killed in similar circumstances.

Israel supports GHF as a way to ensure that the help provided does not hit Hamas. The UN accused Israel – who before that limited the distribution of humanitarian aid for three months – that he used food as a weapon.

Answering questions about the controversy related to the activities of GHF, the spokesman for the State Department stated that he was counting on Israel's effective investigation into shootings, but he added that many of the reports about incidents are the work of Hamas's propaganda.

On Thursday, Pigttt refused to comment on the reports of the Israeli daily “Israel Hajom” about the arrangement of President Donald Trump with the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu to lead to the end of the war in gas within two weeks, as well as taking control of gauze by four Arab countries and the normalization of relations between Israel and Syria and Arabia Saudi Arabia (so -called abraham agreements). Pigott only stated that the US is focused on suspension of weapons in the Gaza Strip.
