“The personal mailbox in the mObywatel application will enable easy and convenient access to official correspondence. Receiving, creating and sending messages as part of e-Delivery – this is a new feature now available in mObywatel,” the ministry announced on Friday.

mObywatel is a response to the needs of Poles
Deputy Minister of Digitization Dariusz Standerski emphasized that the introduction of a personal mailbox in mObywatel is another step in building this application as a platform that really responds to people's needs – the ability to correspond with the office as conveniently as with anyone else.

The ministry explained that the personal mailbox in mObywatel is the official mailbox for formal correspondence with state institutions, offices, companies and other entities. It will be used by both people with an e-Delivery address and ePUAP mailbox users. It allows you to handle both types of official addresses and conveniently manage correspondence on your smartphone, MC noted.
The new feature is available to adult users of mObywatela who have the mID card added to the application, MC reported.
New solution in mObywatel
The solution allows you to receive and forward received correspondence directly in the mObywatel application, create replies and your own messages with attachments. The user can also monitor deadlines, check when they will be considered delivered and receive official confirmation of delivery, the ministry said.
He assured that the personal mailbox ensures security and certainty of digital solutions, is integrated with state systems, and data comes directly from official registers, including the Electronic Address Database (BAE) and Poczta Polska systems.
“Thanks to this, the box ensures compliance with state registers of senders and recipients and the security of correspondence,” the ministry assured.

“A message in e-Delivery is the electronic equivalent of a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. Users can therefore receive decisions and other official messages online and access their messages at any time. In e-Delivery, official correspondence takes place completely digitally, without notices and visits to the post office, with full electronic registration of outgoing and incoming messages. Is it a modern solution that allows you to save time and deal with important matters without using paper?” – explained the ministry.
Currently, the obligation to use e-Delivery applies primarily to public entities, institutions and many groups of entrepreneurs, and from the beginning of 2026, citizens are also encouraged to set up a mailbox, but this is not mandatory.

MC noted that the service is available from version 4.84.0 of the mObywatel application and is being implemented gradually. It will be available to all users by the end of June 2026.
