The Ministry of Justice wants judges with a 10-year case-law to apply for the mandate of a member of the National Court Register. It remains to be resolved from what moment this period will be counted – said on Tuesday Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.


According to the journal, the main change in the bill on the National Council of the Judiciary, which MS is currently working on, concerns the method of selecting the judicial part of this body.
“The issue of how a 10 -year case -law will be counted, without which the judge will not be able to apply for membership in the National Court Register.
“DGP” also announced that in the ministry discussions are underway about who would conduct new elections to the National Court Register: would the State Electoral Commission or Appeal Courts do it. Projectors are also considering possible guaranteeing individual appeals that they will have their representative in the council. (PAP)
