Jermak told the telegram in the messenger that the conversation with Kellog in Washington concerned the situation on the front, Monday meeting of representatives of Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, strengthening sanctions against Russia and defense support for Kiev.
Ukrainian children abducted by Russia were also discussed. “We gave Russia letters (abducted children – PAP), we are waiting for an answer; it is important that they come back home. This is an important issue and we are glad that the US is involved in this process,” wrote Jermak.
He added that he told Kellogg that Russia was doing everything to prevent the arms to be suspended. “And it must be ended through strength, because Ukraine has done everything to make the war end. But when Russia does not stop the fire voluntarily, we are forced to carry out surgery and destroy their military potential” – emphasized the head of the Zelnski office.
He expressed gratitude to US President Donald Trump, an American nation and both parties for supporting his country.
Earlier, Jermak informed that during the visit he was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Julia Swyrydenko and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. He also announced that a previously signed agreement on the creation of the investment fund of the Reconstruction of Ukraine would be discussed in Washington.

On May 1, the US Ministry of Finance announced that the United States and Ukraine have signed an economic partnership agreement and the creation of a fund. The head of the Ministry Scott Bessent said then that this is a signal for Russia, that the US is obliged to act for peace based on the freedom and sovereignty of Ukraine.
