Holiday budget 2025: How Poles plan vacation


The report from the “Holiday portfolio of Poles 2025” developed by the Polish Bank Association shows that although many families still feel financial restrictions, the vast majority are planning holidays, adapting the budget to current market conditions.
“This shows that although the scale of expenses increased, Poles do not intend to give up rest and set up more expenses than last year. What's more – they attach more and more importance to planning the holiday budget and financial security while traveling” – comments Dr. Przemysław Barbrich, director of the Communication and PR team at ZBP.

Poles prefer to relax in the country
As the report indicates, 58 percent respondents are planning a vacation in Poland – it is 2 percentage points more than a year ago. Three holiday budgets
This year's study also includes sample calculations of the costs of weekly vacation for a family of four in three different variants: up to 5,000, up to 10,000 and up to 15,000 zloty.
In the budget up to 5,000 PLN Masuria was analyzed. Accommodation, depending on the standard, costs from around 990 to 3 130 PLN. Lunch for a family of four in a local restaurant is an expense of PLN 275.54. Attractions – from free to payable kayaking or rope parks – it costs from 150 to 233 PLN.
In an option up to 10,000 PLN, a weekly stay on the Baltic Sea, with a train journey from Krakow to Gdańsk and accommodation in the apartment. Accommodation costs around PLN 4,681 – over PLN 1,000 more than last year. The cost of food is estimated at PLN 2,100, and expenses for attractions – from 800 to 1,000 PLN.
In the Premium variant (up to PLN 15,000), all inclusive trips were taken into account. A stay for a family of four in Egypt is an expense of PLN 13,580, in Greece – approx. PLN 13,923, and in Spain – PLN 13,958. Interestingly, compared to 2024, the cost of holidays in Egypt increased by as much as PLN 4,080, while in Spain it dropped significantly – by PLN 5,828.
