Former world champion Gerard Pique and famous singer Shakira officially announced their separation in June 2022 after a relationship of about 12 years. Although both have maintained that they will not reveal their “dirt” about each other, there has been constant talk of their strained relationship.
The singer earned millions from songs in which she attacked the ex-footballer while he was enjoying a relationship with his new partner. Now, it seems they have found a common language.
Shakira's unexpected praise for Pique
Shortly after the breakup, they cut off almost all contact. Regarding the two common sons, Milan and Sasha, they communicated only through lawyers or the Colombian singer's brother.
Recently, however, information appeared in the press that it is no longer necessary to use the services of lawyers, since the relationship between them has improved significantly.
“After three years of silence, public accusations and songs that marked their historic separation, Shakira and Gerard Pique have resumed direct and cordial communication,” wrote the Spanish portal Vanitatis. Apparently they are now talking on the phone and texting each other.
Interestingly, Shakira, on the show “Por el mundo”, did not hesitate to praise the father of her children, talking about their approach to education and hobbies.
“And their father, we must admit, is very disciplined. Without discipline you cannot succeed in any profession – this is the basis. They know there is no other way. If something needs to be done, he trains. If you have an exam, you study. That's all. It is not discussed“, noted the 48-year-old singer.
