Further group layoffs at PKP Cargo. Here are new plans

PKP Cargo in restructuring plans to carry out group layoffs, which would cover up to 1,041 employees in 2025 and until 1,388 in 2026 in various professional groups – announced in the announcement.

“According to the Management Board, despite the recovery and restructuring activities in the area of ​​employment, the company's situation requires further actions. The initiated process is an important element of the restructuring plan, whose details will be presented by the company until the end of June 2025” – wrote in a communication.

It was stated that the planned activities in the field of layoffs will be carried out by September 30, 2026, except that group layoffs will be carried out for the current year by the end of July 2025 at the latest.

“Beginning today's consultation with trade unions regarding the intention to carry out group exemptions will enable the company to submit a restructuring plan within the time limit set by the judge of the Commissioner” – wrote in a statement. (PAP Biznes)
