A tragedy spent on Sunday morning, around 1:00, in the city of Simeria, disturbed the local community. A man walking on a street in his city unbalanced and fell on his back in a deep ditch of almost two meters.

The victim, identified as Gheorghe Isai, died shortly, his body being discovered only a few hours later by passers -by, who alerted the authorities. The images surprised by the surveillance cameras in the area show how it, due to inattention, steps in the back, falling into the pit.

“The Police of the city of Simeria was notified, on May 25, around 3:20, about the fact that a person had fallen into a ditch of rehabilitation of a street from the locality. The police traveled to the scene, and following the checks carried out, they established that the ones noted. The inattention, in a ditch resulting from the works that take place on the streets of December 1 and Aurel Vlaicu from Simeria ”, the Hunedoara County Police Inspectorate transmitted.

Authorities claim the area was signaled

According to the representatives of IPJ Hunedoara, the area of ​​the works was properly signaled, being delimited with a warning tape fixed on the panels.

“In this case there are no suspicions regarding the committing of any crime. The police continue the checks for the exact establishment of all the circumstances in which the event occurred”, said IPJ Hunedoara.

Emil Rîșteiu, the mayor of Simeria, said that the ditch was dug in the gas pipeline change. “The area is illuminated at night, and that ditch was signaled” “said the mayor.

Some of those who knew the deceased locality have complained, however, that the area had to be signaled better.
