Ukraine won't get Tomahawks? Donald Trump: we need them for ourselves

Donald Trump said that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban would host the meeting with Putin. Earlier, on the Truth platform, he announced his intention to meet in Budapest after a telephone conversation with Putin.
Trump noted that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will also meet soon with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. “They're going to set a meeting time and place soon.” Maybe they've already figured that out. They already talked to each other, Trump said.
What about Tomahawk missiles for Ukraine?
US President Donald Trump said that the United States needs Tomahawk missiles for its own needs and cannot deplete their stockpiles. He suggested that he would not sell them to Ukraine and added that this may not be the right time to introduce sanctions.

Trump responded in this way to a question about whether he discussed selling missiles to Ukraine during his conversation with Vladimir Putin.
“Well, we talked about it a little bit. I haven't said much, but I will tell you now that the United States also needs Tomahawks. We have a lot of them, but we need them. That is, we cannot deplete their resources for our country. “So, you know, they're very important, they're very powerful, they're very accurate, they're very good, but we need them too, so I don't know what we can do about it,” he said.
Trump said he asked Putin if it would bother him if he gave several thousand Tomahawks to his opponents.
“He didn't like the idea,” he said.
The US president also said that “this may not be the right time” to introduce sanctions against Russia, even though the Republican leader in the Senate expressed readiness to proceed with the bill on new restrictions.
