Marian Godina says that “one of the political leaders” who is part of the team negotiating the training of the new government to be secretary of state in the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) in the future Executive. Godina said he thought for a few days, but in the end he decided to refuse.
The policeman from Brașov states, in a post on his Facebook account, that “it seems that some people at the top of the Romanian politics have understood, after all that happened in our society, that the world was tired of the same people planted in functions”: “They understood that new people, and not a modern people, have confidence. “
Marian Godina: “I reflected”
He says that last Friday he had a meeting with “one of the political leaders”, without specifying who it was, who asked if he would be willing to hold the position of Secretary of State in the MIA.
“Not knowing what to answer, I said that the wisest would be to reflect a few days, staying with an answer today. And that's what I did from Friday, I reflected,” explained Godina.
The policeman says that “since I became known, I suffered, and I still suffer from the impostor syndrome.”
“I have often felt that I am on a pedestal too big, I am often embarrassed by the praises received, I have often felt that I do not deserve the good things that happened to me and that still happens to me, most of you, to those who follow me here.
Marian Godina: I felt some kind of embarrassment
It is precisely for this reason, explains Godina, when she received the proposal to become secretary of state in the first feeling she felt was “a kind of embarrassment that I can very hard to describe in words.”
“I was probably afraid that it would not be a hat too big for me. I thought these days if, if the proposal would materialize, I could do something good for my colleagues in May, I also put some ideas on paper. I thought and I kept thinking.
The policeman says he is aware that there are people who “would have accepted without thinking”, even talking about “illiterate people who would not have questioned their abilities and would have accepted without hesitation, and even wanted the position of minister.”
“I made the decision not to accept this proposal, but I am glad that someone thought of me and I hope that there will be an honest and better prepared man than me, to make me even more reconciled,” concluded Marian Godina.
President Nicușor Dan said on Tuesday morning that in about two weeks we could have a new government, in the context that today in Cotroceni will have a new meeting with PSD, PNL, USR and UDMR leaders, who negotiate the formation of the new Executive.
