In the first half of 2026, Poland saw the registration of over 6,000 artificial intelligence (AI) companies, averaging 34 new businesses daily, according to reports.
Nearly half of all newly created IT firms in this period are focused on artificial intelligence, as indicated by data from Dun & Bradstreet shared with industry sources. The job market in this sector is also expanding rapidly.
In total, the number of IT companies in Poland grew by more than 7,500 in the first half of the year, with over 6,000 being AI-related enterprises.
Surge in AI Companies in Poland
Poland is home to more than 232,200 IT firms, with 19,000 of these specializing in AI, making it one in every twelve IT companies.
According to justjoin.it, job vacancies in the IT sector rose by 86% year-on-year during the first half of the year, with AI and machine learning specializations experiencing a staggering 129% increase in job offers.
Job Opportunities in IT: AI Fuels Market Growth
As noted by industry experts, numerous IT centers are emerging in Poland, offering global services. These centers are attracted by lower operating costs compared to Western countries and access to a skilled workforce.
The increasing demand for IT professionals is evident even outside of Warsaw.
However, the IT sector is also facing a concerning rise in overdue debts, which have reached a record level of 436 million PLN. The average debt per IT company has increased by 40%.
Employment in IT: AI Transforming the Job Market
Workers in the tech industry currently do not need to fear that AI will eliminate their jobs. Nevertheless, technological advancements are significantly altering the skill sets that employers value.
This conclusion is supported by a recent analysis from the employment data platform Draup, which suggests that artificial intelligence is actually expanding job opportunities in technical professions rather than limiting them.
