Directing an unmanned ship over Poland is a tightness test of our system – said PAP Andrzej Kiński, editor -in -chief of the monthly “Army and Technik”. He added that Polish anti -aircraft defense in peaceful conditions does not provide a continuous radar field at heights below 3 km.

The expert pointed out that – in his opinion – the object that fell in the Osin region in the Lublin region was not a lure. These have a simplified design and are armed with a charge of 2-5 kg of explosive. – If the glasses in buildings, several hundred meters away as a result of detonation, can be assumed that the device was equipped with a full -size combat head. This is obviously only speculation, but 2-5 kilograms of TNT would not cause such a strong shock wave – he emphasized.
Kyński estimated that the object, which fell from Tuesday to Wednesday in the Osin area, is Gierań-2-a striking unmanned aerial vehicle based on the Iranian Shamed 136 construction.-If the published photos are authentic, you can see them the MD-550 engine or a copy, which would be confirmed that we are dealing with this unmanned aerian woman-he pointed out the expert.
He added that currently every Russian attack is based on two waves: lure and proper combat drones. – The proportions are different – sometimes half and half, sometimes two -thirds are combat drones, and a third of lures – he explained.
In turn, Jakub Palowski, deputy editor-in-chief of Defense24 emphasized in a conversation with PAP that even drones-wheels are sometimes equipped with combat heads-smaller than in standard unmanned aerial plants. They are aimed at hindering the disarmament of the load.

Palowski, asked why our air defense system did not detect the object, pointed out that we seriously started its construction in 2022, after Russia's full -scale aggression on Ukraine. – We can't expect it to be good; Not in such a short time – the expert emphasized.
As explained by Kiński, Polish anti -aircraft defense in peaceful conditions does not provide a continuous radar field at altitudes below 3,000. m. – To make it possible to constantly detect objects flying below 500 m, radar stations would have to be arranged every several kilometers. The situation could be improved by radars placed on aerostats and early warning aircraft – the expert pointed out.
He noted that there are more along the border with Ukraine with Ukraine, but there are still gaps. – Such radars are visible from space, and Russian and Belarusian electronic combat systems allow them to be detected – he added.
According to the expert, referring an unmanned ship over Poland is a tightness test of our system.
On the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, the flying facility fell and exploded in the field of corn in the vicinity of Osiny in the Łuków poviat in the Lublin region. It was supposed to be a military drone, most likely the so -called A lure, devoid of a combat head, containing only a small amount of explosives – passed the source similar to the Ministry of Defense.
On Wednesday afternoon, the head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that it was a Russian drone.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Radosław Sikorski, referring to the case, wrote on Wednesday afternoon on platform X that “another violation of our airspace from the east confirms that the most important mission of Poland against NATO is the defense of our own territory against NATO.”
In connection with the incident, proceedings were initiated. Grzegorz Trusiewicz, the District Prosecutor in Lublin, announced that five prosecutors were working with him on the spot, including the Military Department. The ongoing places of the incident will also be attended by experts in the field of air accidents and explosives. (PAP)
