I couldn't believe this was happening

On Sunday, Hezbollah, a Shiite pro-Iranian terrorist organization, directed three drones at northern Israel, which responded with precision fire on Hezbollah's command center located in a southern district of Beirut. According to Arab media, one of Hezbollah's commanders was killed in the shelling.

— We were supposed to sign the agreement this morning, but the Israeli attack in Beirut delayed it. I think the contract will be signed today, in a few hours. But the Israeli attack made a mess, Donald Trump said in a conversation with journalist Barak Ravid.

— They called me and said, “Sir, Israel is attacking in Beirut” — an hour before we signed the agreement. I couldn't believe this was happening. “It's very bad,” Trump told a reporter. The American president told the Israeli prime minister that he was “very dissatisfied” with his decision.

“It shouldn't have happened”

Earlier, Donald Trump published a post on social media. “Morning attack [Izraela] in Beirut should not happen, especially on such a special day when we are so close to reaching a peace agreement with Iran,” Trump wrote.

“Israel has the right to defend itself against threats,” Trump added, “but the attack it responded to was of less severity or particular importance. No one was injured or killed,” he wrote.
