“Yes,” Dmytro Lytvyn, the Ukrainian president's adviser on communications, said briefly when asked by journalists to comment on reports of the conversation.
“Substantive conversation about everything”
He then announced that details would be published later. “There was quite a substantive conversation about everything – from wishes for (Trump's) birthday to diplomacy and war/peace,” Lytvyn said in a chat with journalists.
According to Zelensky's adviser, the conversation lasted “30-35 minutes, maybe a little longer.”
Zelensky is expected on Tuesday in Evian-Les-Bains, France, where the three-day G7 summit begins on Monday, and Trump will also attend.
