FRF is rejected by Daniel Pancu: The coach leaves the youth national after the euro

Daniel Pancu managed to qualify the national youth national team, the fourth consecutive final tournament attended by the small tricolors, after winning a preliminary group of which Switzerland was also part. The 47 -year -old coach announced that the federation did not propose the extension of the contract, things being clear in his vision: he will no longer prepare the national U21 after the last match of Euro.

He was the protagonist of a rare incident seen on the football field, even against Helveti, when he wanted to beat the referee, after he tolerated a criminal entry on one of his students. Daniel Pancu was suspended for two parties, so he will not be able to stay on the national technical bench for matches with Italy and Spain. “For now, it is Răzvan Rotaru. I am Lucian Sânmărtean, Răzvan Stanca (his collaborators)”said Daniel Pancu, for Digisport.

Costin Curelea will take the step to the youth national team

Most likely that incident determined the heads of the Federation not to continue with Daniel Pancu after Euro 2025, scheduled for June, in Slovakia. He transmitted that he is sure that his place will be taken by Costin Curelea, the current U20, as it happened in his case, two years ago, when he replaced Emil Emil Săndoi on the National Youth Bank.

“This thing helped me a lot (no that the national U20 has prepared). This will happen with Curelea, which will surely be the next coach from U21. Comes with me now. Will be in our delegation. I did not propose the extension, things are clear ”said Daniel Pancu, for the quoted source.
