What about the Strait of Hormuz? Iran sets a condition for its opening

Baghei added that the release of blocked Iranian funds would be an “integral” part of any agreement.
The spokesman said that the parties agreed that the nuclear issue and related matters would not be discussed at this stage, and instead the emphasis would be placed on ending the war and issues related to Lebanon, reported the emigration website Iran International.
He also said the presence of foreign military bases and armed forces in the region must end. The US has bases in a number of Middle Eastern and Persian Gulf countries – including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Jordan.
The spokesman described Iran's actions to “manage safe traffic” through the Strait of Hormuz as both protecting national security and serving the broader interests of the international community. Before the war, one-fifth of the world's oil and natural gas exports passed through the strait.
The text of the emerging agreement with the United States was criticized by Mahmoud Nabawian, a member of Iran's parliamentary security committee. He said it did not set a timetable for a final agreement.
The agreement pursues five U.S. goals
As noted by the Times of Israel, the official US statement sent to journalists on Friday shows that the agreement achieves five US goals: it reopens the Strait of Hormuz and lifts the US blockade of Iranian ports; “leads to the dismantling of Iran's nuclear program” and to the United States taking over Iran's stockpiles of enriched uranium; “guarantees long-term peace in the region” and imposes an “inspection system” to ensure Iran complies with its obligations not to aspire to possess nuclear weapons.
Israeli officials and security chiefs have expressed fierce opposition to the terms, noting that the framework agreement leaves all the key war goals unresolved. The agreement does not include any provisions on eliminating Iran's nuclear program or limiting Iran's ballistic missile program. It also does not mention ending Tehran's support for terrorist organizations, the portal emphasized.
