In the Yemelyanovsky district, two relatives will appear in court, accused of stealing minerals. This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

According to the police, a 59-year-old Krasnoyarsk resident and his 30-year-old son founded a company to grow agricultural products back in 2012. Later, under the pretext of building greenhouse complexes, they rented an agricultural plot in the Emelyanovsky district.

However, instead of greenhouses, according to investigators, a quarry was organized on the land. Sand and a sand-gravel mixture were mined there for subsequent sale. The entrepreneurs did not have permits or licenses for subsoil use.

Illegal mining was stopped by employees of the department of economic security and anti-corruption of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with colleagues from the Emelyanovsky police department. Damage from illegal work exceeded 2.8 million rubles.

The criminal investigation has been completed. The materials with the approved indictment were submitted to the court.
