In Russia, from September 1, 2026, a new medical specialty will appear – a doctor in healthy longevity medicine. The rector of Sechenov University told RIA Novosti about this Peter Glybochko.
According to him, the new specialty will come into force at the beginning of the next academic year. He noted that Sechenov University is already training specialists in this profile. Training takes place within the framework of programs related to preventive medicine and healthy longevity.
Such doctors will deal with the issues of disease prevention, health preservation and prolongation of the active period of life.
