In Krasnoyarsk, a seller stole equipment from a store for six months

A 35-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk will be tried for theft of expensive equipment from a store where he worked as a sales consultant.

The loss of goods worth a large amount was discovered in August 2025 during an inventory. The police determined that one of the employees was involved in the crime.

“For six months, the accused took phones that were in boxes from the display case, put them in a backpack and took them out of the store at the end of the working day. Later, he sold gadgets on the street to strangers, and gave one to his girlfriend. In addition, the man took two televisions from the store, one of which he kept for himself. The total damage amounted to more than 800 thousand rubles. During the operational actions, the TV and the donated phone were confiscated and returned to the injured party,” said the Krasnoyarskoye Ministry of Internal Affairs.

🧑‍⚖️A criminal case was initiated and investigated against the attacker under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft committed on a large scale.” They can punish him a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles, or forced labor, or imprisonment for up to 6 years. The defendant is awaiting trial under subscription about not leaving and proper behavior.
