Borzhemskaya noted that there are at least five reasons to do stretching.
“Whether we like it or not, muscles love to ‘turn on the drama’. Just barely stretch and you’re already walking like a robot from the 90s. That’s why stretching is a must have,” she wrote.
According to the trainer, people who stretch regularly are more graceful and less prone to injury.
“Flexible muscles are like a good friend: they won’t let you down at the most unexpected moment,” she joked.
The trainer added that good posture is also the result of muscle stretching.
“Shoulders back, chest forward – and a different energy,” she assured.
In addition, stretching can help relieve stress.
“A couple of minutes of stretching – and the brain also “stretches” a little and relaxes,” she explained. “Flexibility is really natural Botox, only without injections. So let’s stretch, breathe and don’t forget: champions not only squat, but also stretch.”
