HACS considered Tymoshenko's appeal against the preventive measure. What did the court decide?

However, Tymoshenko, who is suspected of bribing people's deputies, was allowed to communicate with people's deputies and move freely throughout the territory of Ukraine.

During the meeting, the politician called on the court to cancel her preventive measure (the video was published by “Suspilne” on YouTube).

“This is a big exam for you, judges. I would like the court of appeal to pass this exam,” Tymoshenko said at the beginning of the meeting, she was quoted by Suspilne.

The people's deputy reported that NABU refused her permission to travel to Lviv to participate in an international meeting. Earlier, on January 16, the court ordered Tymoshenko not to leave the Kyiv region without permission from the bureau detectives. The defense filed a request for permission for the suspect to travel outside the region.

Tymoshenko believes that the case against her is political, and the customer is supposedly the “highest leadership of the state.”

“I kindly ask you not to follow NABU's lead. If you don't teach them […] You will continue to have cases hanging around for eight years that no court can accept,” the people’s deputy addressed the judges of the HACC Appeals Chamber.

Tymoshenko said at the meeting that law enforcement officers “found nothing” during searches at her party’s office.

“They burst in with urgent investigative actions, an urgent search, while I was sitting alone in the office. Was I next to [нардеп от “Слуги народа” Игорь] Kopytin or his man? Or anywhere they wanted, for example, at a crime scene?” the politician asked in court.

Tymoshenko claims that there was no transfer of money, and that the audio recording was allegedly edited.

Her lawyer asked to explain the origin of the bail amount of UAH 33 million and called the preventive measure “unfounded.”

At the same time, the prosecutor asked the court to increase the bail for Tymoshenko to 50 million. He called the appeals unfounded.

As Suspilne indicated, during the court hearing there was a stampede at the entrance, and small clashes were recorded between the politician’s support group and security guards.
