A motorcyclist escaping a police chase severely hit a woman in Norilsk (video)

In Norilsk, a 16-year-old motorcycle driver tried to hide from traffic police inspectors and caused an accident, reports the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
It all happened on June 2nd in the evening. The patrol noticed an IZH without license plates moving along Maslova Street. The driver was wearing a motorcycle helmet, but without special equipment, and a passenger was sitting behind him. The biker ignored the stop signal and traffic inspectors began pursuing him.
“In an attempt to escape from police officers, the driver, moving along city streets at high speed, ran over a 40-year-old female pedestrian,” the police said.
After the incident, the motorcyclist and his passenger abandoned the vehicle and tried to escape, but were detained. The injured woman was taken to the hospital.
Based on the fact of the accident, an administrative case was opened under Part 2 of Art. 12.24 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules or rules for operating vehicles, resulting in the infliction of moderate harm to the health of the victim). In addition, the parents of a minor driver may be held accountable.
