Fuel in Poland is almost the cheapest in the entire European Union
The level of wholesale fuel prices in Poland depends on global oil prices, which are influenced by the geopolitical situation. The attack by the United States and Israel on Iran on February 28 led to an increase in global prices of crude oil and finished fuels. These changes translated into the level of retail prices in many countries, including Poland. Currently, the market situation is gradually stabilizing.
In its analysis, the Reflex office points out that the last week of May brought declines in oil and fuel prices. The largest reduction concerned diesel oil, which fell by 40 groszy per liter per week – the average domestic price of this fuel on May 28 was PLN 6.50 per liter and was the lowest since the end of February, i.e. since the outbreak of the conflict in the Middle East.
