Hours are 8am-6pm Monday to Friday and 2pm-3pm on Saturday. During these times and days of the week, scammers call looking for victims. They have Sundays off. They don't have holidays, because that's the season for fraudulent holiday offers. Generally, this is a very seasonal business.

The hottest period for fraudsters is autumn: back to school, Black Friday, Christmas. There are fewer advertisements for fake investments on the Internet, but there are more fraudulent stores, false promotions and phishing campaigns with text messages and e-mails about alleged underpayments for courier shipments.

Thousands of people fall for fraudulent offers. I talk to Paulina Rosłoń, an expert in the Cybersecurity Department of Bank Pekao SA, about tricks used by criminals, how to avoid fraud and what to do if we fall for it and transfer money to pay for the purchase of non-existent goods.

In “Puls Biznesu” I deal with the financial market, especially the banking sector, but I also write about the debt collection and leasing industry. I must admit that banks are closest to me. I look at the achievements of the receivables management industry with respect, but I only know this business from an observer's perspective. I have never, knock on wood, been a client of a debt collection company. It's easier for me to evaluate banks because I have an open account with all of them. I know what the website, call center and branch service look like and how they work.
